The program is supported by four key strategies: data-driven decision-making, parent engagement, professional development, and continuous cultivation of a strong school climate. Over the last few years, it has led to an increase in student achievement and engagement.
Juliette Low School of the Arts was recognized for their “Connecting Through the Arts” Program. The program that has been in place for 3 years, focuses on a teaching approach that integrates visual arts into other core subjects in order to deepen student understanding, facilitate cross-curricular connections, and empower students to construct and demonstrate understanding of grade level concepts and skills through an art form.
Walt Disney Elementary School was recognized for their “Comprehensive Student Support Program (CSSP)” The program is founded on Great Initial First Teaching (GIFT) and structured support systems designed to meet the social-emotional, behavioral, and academic achievement needs of all Disney students.
